On Saturday, Former Kansas State guard Nijel Pack announced his decision to transfer to Miami (FL).
Pack chose the Hurricanes over schools like Ohio State and Purdue. It was rumored that he would chose Purdue but that changed over the last few days.
Pack, a 6-foot point guard averaged 17.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.3 steals per game for the Wildcats. Pack shot 43.6% from the three point line while shooting 84.5% from the free throw line. Pack got first-team All-Big 12 honors and was named Most Improved Player in the league.
Pack will be a dangerous option for the Hurricanes. While a few Miami players are testing the NBA Draft waters like Isaiah Wong and a few players ran out of college eligibility like Kam McGusty. Pack will step in and make a huge impact. Pack is also testing the NBA Draft waters but chose a great school to continue to improve his game.
Pack is a talented scorer with great defensive ability. Pack is also a great playmaker, so his game will match well with what Jim Larranaga is doing with Miami.
