This game was looked at like a must-win for Kentucky. That did not happen for Kentucky.
Gonzaga went up 9-1 then it was 21-5 with eight and half minutes left in the first half. The Cats were down big early and remained down big throughout the rest of the game. There is really nothing else to say except a very bad performance for Kentucky.

Looking at Gonzaga. This was their first game back since the 40 point loss to the Michigan Wolverines. They have had double digit wins in seven of their eight games this season. They have beat teams like Alabama, Creighton, and Maryland.
Tonight, the Zags walked into Nashville and held Kentucky to 59 points on 27% (16-60) from the field and 21% (7-34) from the three point line. The main catalyst for both sides were Graham Ike (Zaga) with 28 points and 10 rebounds. Otega Oweh led Kentucky with 16 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists.
Whats next for both teams?
Kentucky has a game against NC Central on Tuesday night and then will prepare for Indiana and St. John's after that. If they do not get healthy quick, it will be a rough season.
Gonzaga plays North Florida on Sunday night and then have games against UCLA and Oregon right before Christmas. If the Zags win the rest of December, a loss to one of the best teams in the Big Ten will not look bad at all.
