Chattanooga's Malachi Smith has entered the transfer portal

On Wednesday, Chattanooga G Malachi Smith entered his name into the transfer portal.

Smith averaged 19.9 points, 6.7 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.7 steals last season for Chattanooga. Smith was also the Southern Conference Player of the Year. Smith also shot 49.3% from the field while shooting 40.7% from the three point line and shot 82.7% from the free throw line.

Smith will have many teams interested in him for many reasons. The early rumors are he will follow his former coach (Lamont Paris) to South Carolina. I could very much see that happen. I will say he will probably look around for a few days and then make a decision.
